Melanie Marie Gems & Jewels is a youth empowerment and mentoring organization established to promote the arts for young women. Melanie Marie started as an accessory line, however has always been dedicated to the healthy development of young women and girls. Melanie Marie Gems & Jewels seeks to build the self-esteem and self-worth of young women of by changing their outlook on life, broadening their horizons, and helping them to empower themselves.
MM Gems & Jewels offers the opportunity to enrich the lives of girls aged 10 to 18 years old through mentorship, arts education, cultural exploration and public service. With Gems & Jewels young women are offered access to enrichment programs and opportunities that place special emphasis on personal development through the arts and cooperative learning. Gems & Jewels will give girls exposure to professionals that they would not normally have had the chance to encounter.
By speaking to the next generation in their formative years about issues of self-worth, goals, and aspirations, the organization reinforces the message that young women need not objectify themselves or relinquish their autonomy.

The meeting times will be every other Saturday. We may take field trips on other days of the week.
